The Real Customer Standard

Your customers pick the topics.People check every word.

AI made marketing content cheap, so most contractor websites now read the same, and these five rules are how we make sure yours sounds like your business and brings in work.

Applies to every Core6 client, every month.

  • Written from real customer questions
  • Checked by people before it goes live
  • Done by our own team on the Central Coast

Why it exists

Anyone can publish 100 blog posts now. That's the problem.

AI tools can write a month of articles in an afternoon. Plenty of agencies do exactly that, and contractor websites have filled up with the same general advice, the same generic cities, and no sign that anyone at the business wrote or read it.

Homeowners can't tell one company from the next. Google and the AI assistants homeowners now ask for recommendations are getting better at spotting it too. Content that reflects real work and real customers is what gets found and trusted.

So we wrote down how we do it.

The five rules

Five rules. Every article, every month.

Usually 6 to 12 articles a month, depending on how competitive your trade and area are. Every one of them meets all five.

01

Your customers pick the topics.

Every article starts with a question one of your customers actually asked. We don't pull topics from a list of what's popular nationally.

02

People make the calls.

AI helps us move faster. People decide what to write, write it in your voice, and check every fact. A person reviews every piece before it goes live, and you can see any article first if you want to. Most clients spot-check instead.

03

Nothing made up.

No invented numbers, projects, reviews, or results. If we can't confirm it, it doesn't go in.

04

No shortcuts.

No pages pumped out by the hundred. No tricks aimed at Google or AI. They don't last, and they can cost you rankings you already earned.

05

Judged by booked jobs.

We measure content by the calls and jobs it helps bring in, not by how many posts we publish.

What it rules out

What the standard keeps off your website.

  • Certifications or licenses you don't hold
  • Prices you haven't confirmed
  • Towns you don't actually serve
  • Reviews or testimonials that didn't come from a real customer

And when something changes in your business, such as a new phone number, new hours, or a service you stopped offering, we update it everywhere it appears, so your website, your Google profile, and your articles all say the same thing.

How we use AI

Yes, we use AI. Here's exactly where.

Where it helps us

  • Organizing information so we can work faster
  • Spotting patterns in what your customers ask
  • Speeding up the first draft, so more time goes into getting it right

Where it never decides

  • What your website says
  • Whether something is true
  • What goes live

What you get

What you get out of it.

Trust

Homeowners trust what they read

When a homeowner reads your article and then calls, what they read matches the company they reach.

AI search

AI assistants can name you

When homeowners ask AI who to call, it names the few companies with consistent details and content that shows real experience. At one Monterey Peninsula contractor, about 1 in 8 recent new leads said they found the company that way.

Accuracy

Your website stays accurate

Nothing on it promises work you don't do or towns you don't serve.

In their words.

AI is part of how we work, and it makes us faster. But a contractor's website has to sound like that contractor and answer the questions their customers actually ask.

Questions

The standard, answered.

Do you use AI to write my content?

AI helps us work faster, but it doesn't decide anything. People choose the topics, write in your voice, check every fact, and review each piece before it goes live.

Where do the topics come from?

From your customers. Every article starts with a question one of your customers actually asked. We don't share the details of how we find them, but nothing is guessed.

Will it sound like my business?

That's the point. Your services, your towns, your way of explaining the work. If it could be pasted onto another contractor's website, it doesn't meet the standard.

How many blog posts will I get?

Usually 6 to 12 a month, depending on how competitive your trade and area are. Every one of them meets the standard, so a busier month never means a lower bar.

Can I see articles before they're published?

Yes, any article, any time. Many clients would rather spot-check now and then to make sure we're staying on message, and that works too.

What happens when something in my business changes?

Tell us, and we update it everywhere: your website, your Google profile, and any articles that mention it.

Does every Core6 client get this?

Yes. The standard applies to every client, every month, as part of the program.
