The Real Customer Standard
AI made marketing content cheap, so most contractor websites now read the same, and these five rules are how we make sure yours sounds like your business and brings in work.
Applies to every Core6 client, every month.
Why it exists
AI tools can write a month of articles in an afternoon. Plenty of agencies do exactly that, and contractor websites have filled up with the same general advice, the same generic cities, and no sign that anyone at the business wrote or read it.
Homeowners can't tell one company from the next. Google and the AI assistants homeowners now ask for recommendations are getting better at spotting it too. Content that reflects real work and real customers is what gets found and trusted.
So we wrote down how we do it.
The five rules
Usually 6 to 12 articles a month, depending on how competitive your trade and area are. Every one of them meets all five.
01
Every article starts with a question one of your customers actually asked. We don't pull topics from a list of what's popular nationally.
02
AI helps us move faster. People decide what to write, write it in your voice, and check every fact. A person reviews every piece before it goes live, and you can see any article first if you want to. Most clients spot-check instead.
03
No invented numbers, projects, reviews, or results. If we can't confirm it, it doesn't go in.
04
No pages pumped out by the hundred. No tricks aimed at Google or AI. They don't last, and they can cost you rankings you already earned.
05
We measure content by the calls and jobs it helps bring in, not by how many posts we publish.
What it rules out
And when something changes in your business, such as a new phone number, new hours, or a service you stopped offering, we update it everywhere it appears, so your website, your Google profile, and your articles all say the same thing.
How we use AI
What you get
Trust
When a homeowner reads your article and then calls, what they read matches the company they reach.
AI search
When homeowners ask AI who to call, it names the few companies with consistent details and content that shows real experience. At one Monterey Peninsula contractor, about 1 in 8 recent new leads said they found the company that way.
Accuracy
Nothing on it promises work you don't do or towns you don't serve.
“
AI is part of how we work, and it makes us faster. But a contractor's website has to sound like that contractor and answer the questions their customers actually ask.

Questions
AI helps us work faster, but it doesn't decide anything. People choose the topics, write in your voice, check every fact, and review each piece before it goes live.
From your customers. Every article starts with a question one of your customers actually asked. We don't share the details of how we find them, but nothing is guessed.
That's the point. Your services, your towns, your way of explaining the work. If it could be pasted onto another contractor's website, it doesn't meet the standard.
Usually 6 to 12 a month, depending on how competitive your trade and area are. Every one of them meets the standard, so a busier month never means a lower bar.
Yes, any article, any time. Many clients would rather spot-check now and then to make sure we're staying on message, and that works too.
Tell us, and we update it everywhere: your website, your Google profile, and any articles that mention it.
Yes. The standard applies to every client, every month, as part of the program.
In a market review, we'll show you what homeowners in your area are asking, which of those questions your website answers today, and who's answering the rest.
Leave your name and the best way to reach you, and we'll send this conversation to someone on the team.
